Terms and Conditions

Registration for Balranald First Dachshund Dash will be taken in two divisions;
-All ages Dachshund dash Race
-Best Dressed Dachshund.

Registration fee - Free
Registration closes 9AM sharp on the 25/10/2024.
No late registrations will be accepted.

Registrations for All ages Dachshund Dash Race will be limited to 40 dachshunds in total.

All ages dachshund Dash division will be a maximum of four heats of 10 starters conducted. Final will be limited to a maximum of 8 starters, with first two dogs in each heat proceeding to the final.

Each Dachshund registered in a division MUST have two handlers - one person to handle the dog at the start line and one to encourage the dachshund from the finish line and capture the dog at the completion of the heat/final.

During the race, all handlers at the finish area MUST remain in the designated collection area which is situated 5 metres behind the finish line.

IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that their dog (whether registered in a heat or advanced to a final) is ready to start the heat or final when called by the announcer. If the dog is not in the designated marshalling area when the track announcer calls up the participants, then the entry will be marked as "no show" and will not be allowed to race.

The decision of the judges in each race will be final.

Any dog on heat is NOT permitted to attend nor participate in this event and will be disqualified if entered by their owner.
It is a legal requirement that a person in charge of a dog must immediately remove and dispose of any dog faeces left by the dog in a public area. ​

Entry

This is a FREE event, with over $500 worth of prizes. Entry will close 9am, 25/10/24. All competitors are required to be signed in and ready to race by 9:30am.
